Skills@UC Offers Lifelong Learning Opportunities

UC Resource Provides Continuing Education, Personal Enrichment

Woman using a laptop in a study area

As the achievements within our alumni family wonderfully illustrate, the University of Cincinnati is excellent at providing its students with the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences to successfully meet life’s challenges. In fulfilling that mission, of course we think primarily about the various colleges, degree programs, courses and co-ops that combine to build the necessary foundation.

Yet UC’s educational value proposition has never ended at commencement. The university is also a vehicle for lifelong learning in a variety of forms. In periodically surveying our alumni about what they want most from their university, one of the most common responses is always the availability of continuing education programs — which makes Skills@UC an extremely valuable resource.

As our hub for non-credit learning, Skills@UC connects experts from across the university landscape to deliver professional development opportunities and technical training that is specifically tailored for those looking to augment their existing knowledge and add to their toolbox. The Skills@UC course catalog offers a wide range of compelling options designed to fit different lifestyles. It’s open to anyone, at any time; includes minimal registration requirements so it’s easy to jump in; and is available in various formats — in-person, online-live, online self-paced, or a blend of these options. Instructors combine advanced academic qualifications with practical industry experience.

Whether we want to remain cutting-edge with our own marketable abilities or simply exercise our brainpower, Skills@UC allows us to leverage our ongoing relationship with our alma mater. I encourage you to explore its flexible and wide-ranging learning opportunities.
