Together, We Strengthen the UC Community

Reflecting on a Year of Milestones, Memories and Meaningful Impact
|
As we close out 2025, I’m filled with immense gratitude and Bearcat pride for all our alumni have contributed to another unforgettable year at the University of Cincinnati. Together, we have celebrated milestones, lifted one another up, and strengthened the bond that makes our alumni community so remarkable.
As you may have seen in President Neville Pinto’s message last week, it’s been a tremendous year for the UC community. On behalf of your UC Alumni Association, I echo the president’s pride and express my appreciation for all who contribute to our university’s strength and success, which happens in countless ways. Our alumni community continues to be one of UC’s greatest strengths.
First and foremost is the excellence exhibited by our alumni who, through their expertise, deeds and passion, make a growing impact on a changing world. Each Bearcat for Life, whether an alumnus or student, plays a unique role in lifting UC to new heights. Not coincidentally, our enrollment keeps rising (bucking national trends), funding for UC research projects has reached historic levels, more students than ever are making record earnings through co-op, our campuses are evolving to meet the needs of tomorrow, and your generous philanthropy continues to elevate our work.
This year, we honored a select group of extraordinary Bearcats at our annual Alumni Celebration in April, then celebrated together again by the tens of thousands at Homecoming in October. These were just two of the 350 distinct alumni experiences offered through the UC Alumni Association this year. We received more than 6,000 gifts combined during last spring’s UC Day of Giving and this month’s Giving Tuesday to support student success and enhance the university’s mission. And we look forward to ringing in the new year together in Memphis on Jan. 2 at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
As we embrace the holiday season, I hope each of you finds rest, joy and connection with those near and dear to you. This time of year reminds us of the importance of community, the very foundation of what it means to be #BearcatsForLife.
